Sooo...Gameworld 12?
If your a reader of the SI forums (located here) then you will know of the problems that occurred when 2000 people tried to log into 2 Gameworlds, well the result was many error messages, this game is a beta so things like this were expected (at least by me anyway), so in the end instead of the gameworld starting at 18:00pm on Wednesday for me it started at 9:00 am on Thursday morning.
So i logged in and typed my password, i got the requesting authentication message and within 2minutes i was in, the door to my new home had opened, the place where i would no doubt waste my life away in my quest to be ranked no.1 in this new gameworld.
As soon as you log in, the set-up assistant greets you, there are several options here, the first is to read the manual (which i would heavily advise you to do), the second option is choosing your kits. I chose my home kit of white, with blue and yellow piping, the kit is based on the Lyon shirt with the yellow and blue small stripes on the right hand side. My away kit is the reverse of this being blue with white and yellow piping...anyway that's enough of my graphical prowess. The next option is one to auto select your squad, you are allowed £500,000 to spend on acquisition fees and £100,000 to spend on your players wages...from that you can choose how many players you want and in what positions, so i clicked this and saw what i would be generated, to say the players i got were rubbish would be too kind on them. I received one player of note and that was Arsenal youngster Jay-Emmanuel Thomas, needlessly to say i cleared my squad of everyone but him and went about choosing my squad (the excitement of who i chose will be revealed in my next blog).
After choosing a team you select what type of manager you wish to be, i cant remember the options too well, but from memory you can be a manager focused on several skill categories, these being Coaching, Scouting, Management and Physio (if theres anymore don't hesitate to correct me in a comment), i chose financial which would allow me an instant 2% increase in my daily income. I figured that the more money i get in and the faster i get it will help me to get the 'big guns' into my squad faster.
Joining a FA was next. In FMLive there are numerous FA's based on the amount of time your online and the amount of games you want to play. Easily the most intense of this is XFA - the Xtreme Football Association, there are 60 games to play, and heavy penalties if you don't play these games yourself...i was a member of this FA in GW5, so i sought no reason not to carry on this trend and soon joined up.
So there we go, that's the story of how i started up my team London City F.C. My next entry here will be detailing my squad and future potential targets and the general aims of the team.
Yours Sincerely
London City F.C.

Nice blog, all you need now is more updates as the game progresses. The only other skills category I could think of was learning. KUTGW
